City of Springfield residents are invited to dispose of storm-related tree debris for free at 36433 Brand S Road again this coming weekend; see attached map. The City of Springfield’s storm tree debris drop-off will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on February 16, 17 and 18.
This disposal site is for Springfield residents within city limits only, in compliance with FEMA reimbursement criteria. Residents are asked to have their ID ready when entering the drop-off site. Additional days for the collection site to be open will be evaluated after this weekend. We expect the site to be busy, and ask residents to please be patient, kind, and follow the directions of our on-site staff. This free debris drop-off site is for residents cleaning up their private property. It is not for the use of contractors receiving payment for debris cleanup.
Do bring:
– Tree limbs and branches
– Trees less than 24″ in diameter (larger trees cut down to 24″ in diameter or less)
– Heavy shrubbery
Don’t bring:
– Household garbage or recycling
– Building materials (plywood, damaged siding, etc.)
– Regular yard debris (grass, mulch, etc.)
– Rocks or dirt
– Tree root balls
– Materials larger than 24″ in diameter
