Springfield’s Bagged Leaf Pickup

The City of Springfield provides a free leaf pickup service to residents within the city limits to help prevent flooding, protect water quality, and keep our neighborhood streets safe for people driving, walking, and biking. Sanipac is contracted to pick up, haul, and recycle bagged leaves within city limits.

Development Counter Hours Update

Starting this Friday, September 23, the Development Center counter at City Hall is updating its schedule for the fall and will now be closed on Monday and Friday each week. We are currently experiencing low staffing levels and plan for this change to be temporary. Condensing our hours to three days a week will allow for hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff. The counter will be open for in-person service on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Service on Mondays and Fridays will be available only by phone at 541‐726‐3753. Public Facilities and Services Plan

The PFSP 2022 Update project is intended to: incorporate plan revisions adopted by ordinance since 2011 that have not yet been incorporated into the PFSP document; revise, clarify, and update PFSP text to facilitate use by jurisdictional staff and the public; and update project lists and maps to reflect current facility master plans.

Main Street Lighting Upgrade Comparison

Streetlights on Main Street and South A Street were upgraded to LED fixtures as part of an emergency safety upgrade partnership with the Oregon Department of Transportation. The installation was recently completed, take a look at before and after comparison of lighting conditions at several locations on Main Street and South A Street.
