The City Attorney’s Office is responsible for the legal representation of the City of Springfield. Our client is the City of Springfield and our role is to provide advice and support to the City Council, City staff, and at times boards and commissions.
The City Prosecutor’s Office is responsible for prosecution of misdemeanor crimes filed in Springfield Municipal Court. The City of Springfield contracts with a private law firm to provide prosecution services. The Prosecutor’s Office is located on the second floor of the Justice Center located at 230 4th Street.  Click here for City Prosecutor’s Office contact information.
