NARRATIVE OF INCIDENT: On Friday night February 18th at 7:16pm, Officers of the Springfield Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing in the 500blk of Hamilton St. Officer Kate Crawford was the first Officer on scene and met the male victim on the sidewalk with a deep stab wound to his chest. Luckily Officer Crawford formerly worked for the Springfield Fire Department as an EMT. She immediately provided life-saving care. Additional Officers arrived and detained Frances at the house. The victim was transported to a local Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is expected to survive. During the course of the investigation, Officers learned the two are married. Detectives were summoned to assist with the investigation.
Frances was later lodged at the Lane County Jail on the listed charges.
