Springfield Public Library presents “Catch-22”
Join the Springfield Public Library for a free showing of the 1970 dark comedy classic Catch-22 at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15th at the Wildish Community Theater in downtown Springfield.
Adapted from the 1961 novel of the same name, Catch-22 is a dark comedy war film about Captain John Yossarian, a pilot in the US Army Air Forces, and his attempts to be certified insane to get out of flying missions. Despite his best efforts, he finds there’s simply a no-win situation in a world gone mad. Studded with an all-star cast to round out this biting satire, Catch-22 stands apart as a timeless classic. This film is rated R for sexual content, nudity, and violence.
SpringFilm continues at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, with a free showing of the cult classic, Sci Fi comedy, Galaxy Quest.
SpringFilm is made possible by a partnership between the Springfield Public Library, the Springfield Public Library Foundation, Willamalane Parks and Recreation District, and the Wildish Community Theater, and is generously sponsored by Plank Town Brewing Company.
