Do you have ideas for improvements within the City of Springfield? We’re currently seeking input from the Springfield community for the 2024 to 2028 Capital Improvement Program!

The City of Springfield’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) provides a five-year outlook of the City’s planned physical improvements. Examples of capital projects include construction of streets, sewers, pedestrian ramps, sidewalks, and bike paths. Other examples include installation of streetlights and street landscaping throughout the city. The CIP includes cost estimates and projected financing sources for each project.

To submit a project request to be considered for the 2024-2028 CIP, visit the CIP webpage and complete the Capital Improvement Project Request Form.

Community members have through Wednesday, August 2 to submit project request forms. A draft of the CIP will be put together in September and reviewed at future public meetings prior to adopting a final version in December or early January. If you have any questions regarding the Capital Improvement Program and the Project Request form, contact Stan Petroff, City Engineer: spetroff@springfield-or.gov.
