Fundraiser to Benefit Springfield’s Library and History Museum
The 13th Annual Books and Brew 2024 event takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, at the Springfield Public Library, 225 5th St. This fundraising event benefits the Springfield Public Library and Springfield History Museum. Tickets cost $80 per person or $150 for two tickets and may be purchased online at www.splforegon.org.
Funds raised this year will help with the goal of $35,000 to support the upcoming remodel project to improve the library’s teen and youth areas, create a central welcome and service desk, install wayfinding signs, and add meeting rooms inside the library for community use.
The Lucky 13-themed Books and Brew event features games, an art auction, raffles, paddle raise, prizes, dancing, and musical performances. Hosted by the Springfield Public Library Foundation, the event offers food and beverages from Falling Sky and Plank Town.
