Springfield Public Library presents a free crafting program for adults.

Want to figure out how books are put together, and can be repaired when they start to fall apart? Adults are invited to learn at the Springfield Public Library from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Saturday, April 13th. This program is free and open to the public and is intended for adults, ages 18+.

Presenter Sophia Bogle will introduce you to the tools and materials used for archival book repair and restoration, with some examples of what can be done. Then you will have the chance to bind an easy pamphlet-stitch book. The first step to learning how to repair books is learning how they are made!

Sophia Bogle is an expert book restorer with over 30 years of dedicated experience in the field. You can find more about her work at saveyourbooks.com.
