Springfield’s annual State of the City Address has been rescheduled to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17 at the Richard E. Wildish Community Theater in Downtown Springfield. Community members are welcome and encouraged to attend. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and the event will start at 6:00 p.m. followed by refreshments and conversation on the Wildish stage.
Mayor Sean VanGordon will share his vision for Springfield in 2024 and beyond. He will also reflect on accomplishments that occurred in 2023 with help from City Council members. Additionally, Mayor VanGordon will announce his selections for Springfield Business of the Year and City of Springfield Employee(s) of the Year for 2023. Full agenda to be announced prior to the event.
