NARRATIVE OF INCIDENT:
On March 31st, 2024, at 6:43 PM Springfield Police Department Officers responded to a residence in the 1000 Block of South 70th Street in Springfield regarding the suspicious deaths of two individuals. Evidence at the scene indicated both individuals had died due to gunshot wounds. There is no ongoing threat to the community in relation to this incident.

Springfield Police Detectives were called to the scene to investigate the incident and will be working with the Medical Examiner’s office to determine the manner of death. The names of the two individuals are not being released as the investigation is still on-going.
