NARRATIVE OF INCIDENT:
On December 5, 2024, at 1739hrs Springfield Police Department Officers responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian traffic crash just off the round-a-bout at the intersection of Franklin Blvd and Old Franklin Blvd.

Responding officers located a 66-year-old male down in the roadway. The male pedestrian was transported by medics to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the involved vehicle remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The departments Major Accident Investigation Team is currently investigating the incident.
