NARRATIVE OF INCIDENT:
On 11-11-2022 at 2258 hours Officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to Hwy 126 eastbound, at the 28th Street overpass for a two-vehicle traffic crash. The initial investigation revealed that A 2016 Subaru Outback had been stopped in the lane of travel and was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet pickup. A passenger in the Subaru sustained life threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Riverbend Hospital. The departments Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) was activated and is conducting the ongoing investigation. Any witnesses to the crash are asked to contact Officer Sullivan to provide a statement.
