Approved by our City Council in October 2020, the City of Springfield’s guidelines for “RV Occupancy on Private Property” provide all the information we need to ensure the health and safety of our temporary RV residents, property owners, neighbors, and the public.

Due to the heightened need for temporary housing in our community, the City is allowing the temporary occupancy of RVs when they are parked on private property, such as driveways and parking lots, when they meet the conditions described in the guidelines.

The guidelines do not apply to RV parks, manufactured dwelling parks, campgrounds, or sites that are participating in the City’s Overnight Parking Program.
