City of Springfield Operations staff shifted its efforts this week to debris removal from last week’s snow storm. On Monday, four crews began working on tree debris clean-up and will continue until all of the debris is removed from City’s right-of-way, streets, and sidewalks. The work will take approximately three more weeks to complete. Please slow down and use caution in areas where crews are working.
Storm debris from private property should not be placed in the City right-of-way, sidewalks, and streets for Operations staff to clean-up. Please use your yard debris bin, take it to a commercial yard debris recycler, or have a yard care business pick it up. City staff does not have the capacity to clean up debris from private property.
