Springfield, OR – The Springfield Arts Commission invites the public to experience a vibrant evening of photography, music, and youth art during the 2nd Friday Art Walk on Friday, March 14, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Springfield City Hall Gallery, 225 5th Street.
The featured exhibition, Nature: Birds and Flowers in Oregon, showcases the stunning nature photography of Twyla Bohrer. Through her lens, Twyla captures the serenity of Oregon’s flora and fauna, offering visitors a moment of reflection and connection to the natural world. “I hope my work inspires people to pause, breathe, and embrace the beauty of nature,” said Twyla.
The free opening reception will feature live music by Dakota Harris and light refreshments.
Youth Art Gallery: Celebrating Young Creators
In addition to Bohrer’s photography, the Springfield Public Library will unveil the winning designs from the 44th Annual Children’s Bookmark Contest. This year’s competition received over 1,400 submissions from K-12 students, with 18 winners whose bookmarks have been professionally printed and are now available at the library.
All submitted artwork will be displayed in the Youth Art Gallery at City Hall throughout March, celebrating the creativity of young artists in Springfield.
