Springfield Public Library to Host Open House Celebrating Remodel Enhancements

The Springfield Public Library invites the community to celebrate its exciting new renovations with a special open house event on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The remodel has transformed the Library into a more accessible, welcoming, and functional space, and this celebration will give community members a chance to explore the improvements.

The day’s festivities will include a ribbon-cutting ceremony, guided tours, a library scavenger hunt, live music, and more! Join us for this opportunity to see the Library’s new spaces, meet the staff, and learn about the enhanced services available to the Springfield community.

Morning Celebration

  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.: The event kicks off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted in partnership with the Springfield Chamber of Commerce. Members of the Library Advisory Board will also lead guided tours of the new and improved spaces, highlighting the various enhancements made during the renovation. Coffee and snacks will be provided.

Afternoon Celebration

  • 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: In the afternoon, festivities continue with a fun-filled library scavenger hunt, and live music. Families and community members of all ages are invited to explore the library’s new features while enjoying light refreshments.
