Springfield, OR – Looking for exciting and free activities this Spring Break? The Springfield Public Library and Springfield History Museum have you covered! From thrilling reptile encounters to magical performances, film screenings, hands-on workshops, and teen day camps, there’s something for everyone during the week of March 24–29, 2025.
“Our goal is to be a fun destination for families looking for free entertainment in the community,” said Abigail Craig, Youth Services Librarian. “Thanks to the Springfield Utility Board and our community partners, we’re able to bring engaging programs that inspire learning and creativity.”

Back by popular demand! Meet Oregon’s famous Reptile Man and learn about fascinating creatures up close. Tickets are required and will be available at the library starting March 15 (one set per family group). A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.

Prepare to be amazed! Magician Jay Frasier blends sleight-of-hand, comedy, and audience participation in this fun-filled performance celebrating the power of reading. First come, first served seating.

Presented by the Springfield History Museum and AARP Oregon, this powerful documentary explores the rising issue of senior homelessness. A panel discussion with the filmmaker will follow the screening.

Teens (ages 12+) can explore housing history and construct model homes using hot glue and creativity.

Springfield, OR – ¿Buscas actividades divertidas y gratuitas para estas Vacaciones de Primavera? ¡La Biblioteca Pública de Springfield y el Museo de Historia de Springfield se encargan de ello! - 🎥 Proyección de Documental: No Place to Grow Old (Sin Lugar para Envejecer) | 28 de marzo, 6:30 PM Presentado por el Museo de Historia de Springfield y AARP Oregon, este poderoso documental explora el creciente problema de la falta de vivienda entre adultos mayores. Seguirá un panel de discusión con el cineasta.

- 🏠 “Historia, Pistola de Silicona y Hogares” Construcción de Modelos | 25 de marzo, 3:00-5:00 PM Los adolescentes (de 12 años en adelante) pueden explorar la historia de la vivienda y construir casas modelo usando pistola de silicona y creatividad.
- 🌍 Campamento Diurno de Jóvenes Líderes | 29 de marzo, 10:00 AM–2:45 PM Una experiencia inmersiva de construcción de mundos donde los adolescentes aprenden liderazgo, educación cívica y estrategia. Almuerzo incluido. Se recomienda preinscripción.
