A Teen Program at Springfield Public Library

Are you a teen in Springfield, Eugene, or beyond looking to do some volunteer work in the area? Come by the lobby area at the Springfield Public Library from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 17 and meet with representatives of local organizations who work with teen volunteers! No registration is required. Just show up for this free event!

You might be able to volunteer at a museum, pet shelter, resale shop, park, service organization, or even the library. At the fair, you’ll have a chance to learn which local organizations work with teen volunteers and can talk with representatives. Each organization will have their own set of requirements, including minimum time required to volunteer, and how to apply. Whether you are looking for something short-term this summer or looking for an organization to work with long-term, you can make connections.

Organizations represented will be from the Eugene/Springfield area, but teens from further away, willing to make the trip are welcome to come learn about opportunities.

Follow the Springfield Public Library on Facebook, check out the library website, or reach out to Teen Services Librarian Cara Kinsey for more information about ongoing library offerings for teens, including free online tutoring, weekly programs, monthly book club, and volunteer opportunities.
