Media Opportunity: Indigenous Peoples’ Day Ceremony Monday, October 13, 2025

Springfield, OR – The City of Springfield invites members of the media and community to join us for the Indigenous Peoples’ Day Ceremony on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 12:00 PM, taking place at City Plaza.

 

The ceremony will honor Indigenous communities and their contributions, featuring a proclamation reading by City Manager Nancy Newton and Mayor Sean VanGordon, along with a flag-raising ceremony with flags from the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde and the Confederated Tribes of the Siletz.
