NARRATIVE OF INCIDENT:

On 6/15/2022 Officers with the Springfield Police Department responded to an incident that occurred at 5660 Daisy Street in Springfield. Through their investigation, Officers learned Jennifer Mast had used a weapon multiple times to cause serious physical injury to a mentally disabled family member.  The family member was unable to speak or care for himself due to his disabilities.  Officers were able to collect video surveillance and other physical evidence at the scene and subsequently arrested Jennifer Mast for the multiple assaults.  On 6/15/22 she was lodged at the Lane County Jail on two counts of Assault II and one count of Criminal Mistreatment I.  Mast was released from the Lane County Jail the following day.

During the initial incident, Officers learned there were other suspicious injuries that had occurred in the past to the mentally disabled family member.  The case was assigned to a Detective for further investigation.

Three additional incidents were identified as occurring during the last two years.  These incidents involved Jennifer Mast assaulting the head, groin, and hand of the mentally disabled family member.  The hand incident caused two broken fingers that had to be casted for approximately five weeks.

On 6/28/22 Jennifer Mast was arrested for the additional three separate incidents and lodged at the Lane County Jail.  During the second arrest, she was lodged on charges of Assault II and Criminal Mistreatment I x3.
