Presentation and Reception for the book Desde el otro lado with Oregon Women Authors
The whole community is invited to read and celebrate From the Other Side/Desde el otro lado, a new collection of poetry in Spanish written by Latina authors who live in Oregon. Join the reception Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:30-2:45 p.m. to meet these local authors plus special guest internationally renowned author Miguel Antonio Guevara.
Migrantextos, a creative writing workshop, presents this collection of works in Spanish by Oregon women authors, all from communities in Lane County and the wider Willamette Valley. Venezuelan author Miguel Antonio Guevara will speak about the project and share his impressions of this special book.
This event is part of the Springfield Public Library’s Grupo de Lectura Spanish language book series. It will be a hybrid event: both in person at the Springfield Public Library and on Zoom.
Sign up for the event to receive a Zoom link as well as a copy of the book (while supplies last). Visit wheremindsgrow.org/events/book_clubs, email library@springfield-or.gov, or call 541-726-3766.
