  • Springfield Police Department’s Annual K9 Competition

    The Springfield Police Department is thrilled to announce the return of the annual K9 Competition! The competition will be Saturday, June 14th from 12:00 – 3:00 pm at Silke Field! We’re also incredibly thankful to our partner agencies from throughout the region who will be sending teams to compete. The event, as always, is completely free to the public with all funds from apparel sales going towards training and equipment for the K9 Unit.

  • National Night Out

    The Springfield Police Department is thrilled to announce our upcoming National Night Out Event at Les Schwab Sports Park! We're excited to welcome the community on August 5th from 4 to 7 pm. This event is open to the public and we can't wait to have community members from across Springfield join us to learn more about your police department. Stop by to see various SPD vehicles up-close, learn about special units & teams within the department, & meet our Officers & Staff!  Additional staff and equipment will be on display from Eugene PD, Eugene/Springfield Fire, Oregon Department of Forestry, Springfield Public Works, Springfield Library, Cahoots & more! NNO is an annual community building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie. In the spirit of those partnerships, not only will we have information available about SPD, but we're fortunate to have several community organizations partnering with us to share information about the great work that they do right here in Springfield. As always, SPD is thankful for the opportunity to serve all of you and we can't wait to see the folks that make Springfield the amazing community that it is!
