Climate-Friendly Areas – Community Survey #2

climate friendly and equitable communities in SpringfieldThe City has been looking to identify places that meet State requirements for Climate-Friendly Areas (CFAs), which allow a mix of jobs, homes, and services close to each other so it’s easier to get around without relying on a car. We are considering Downtown, Glenwood Riverfront, Mohawk, and/or Gateway/RiverBend. In early 2025, we’ll share community feedback with the City Council to inform its selection of one or more CFA(s).

Do you have thoughts on the locations and on ways to support residents in these areas? Check out the new story map and complete the latest survey by December 22, 2024. If you complete all three parts of the survey and provide your contact information, you will have the option for a chance to win a $25 Visa gift card! There will also be in-person and online events to learn more, ask questions, and give feedback.
