What is a Maintenance Technician?
Our Maintenance Technicians perform skilled tasks to maintain infrastructure throughout the City of Springfield.
Work includes maintaining:
- Streets
- Wastewater systems
- Surface and subsurface stormwater systems
- Street signs and surface markings
- Buildings
- Equipment Landscaped areas
Technicians also participate in:
- The collection, tabulation, and review of field data
- Routine traffic studies
- Condition surveys and inventories of public infrastructure
- Wastewater pipe TV inspection and flow monitoring
- Removal of hazardous objects/materials
- Special project assignments
