52nd Street and 52nd Place Paving

Project Status:

Project has been completed.

Project timeline is as follows:

• Monday, August 15th: Prep work
• Tuesday, August 16th: Paving of 52nd Place
• Wednesday, August 17th: Paving of 52nd Street
• Thursday, August 18th: Cleanup and any wrap-up work

This schedule may change due to unforeseen circumstances including weather.

Project Description:

Springfield’s Development and Public Works Operations Division intends to perform a thin lift overlay on the unimproved sections of 52nd St. and 52nd Pl. between B St. and D St.

Each street will have limited access for one day during construction, with no vehicle access on paving days. Emergency vehicle access will be available but other vehicles will need to enter and exit the street prior to 7 a.m. and after 6 p.m. You may notice nuisance noise, dust, and heavy construction equipment during this time.
