The City of Springfield is excited to announce the return of our very popular Spring Cleanup event. This year’s event is from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 20. This free recycling event provides an opportunity for Springfield residents to dispose of large or hard-to-recycle items.

Residents can dispose of items including TVs, appliances, scrap metal, scrap lumber, electronics, computers, yard debris, furniture and more. For the safety of staff and volunteers, loads in enclosed vehicles, such as moving trucks will not be accepted. Paint, household garbage, chemicals, fluorescent lights, car parts, or oversize items such as hot tubs and boats are also not accepted. For a full list of items accepted visit bit.ly/SpfldORCleanUp

Spring Cleanup is being held at a new location in Glenwood with support from Sanipac and their EcoSort facility at 3425 E 17th Ave. The new location was selected due to the size of the property and on-site facilities that are expected to expedite the unloading and sorting of materials.

Please note that this free event is exclusively for City of Springfield residents within city limits. Proof of residency will be required. No businesses please.
