City of Springfield Invites Community Input on Draft 2024 ADA Transition Plan for City Services

The City of Springfield invites community members to provide input on its Draft 2024 Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, with a focus on enhancing the accessibility of City services and programs. This update centers on service improvements to ensure all residents and visitors can equitably access and engage with Springfield’s programs and offerings.

Mayor Sean VanGordon emphasized the importance of community feedback in shaping this initiative, stating, “Springfield is committed to being an accessible, welcoming city for all. We need your voices to ensure that our ADA Transition Plan reflects the needs and insights of our community, so that everyone can fully participate in what our city has to offer.”

Community members are encouraged to review the Draft 2024 ADA Transition Plan, available on the City’s website, and provide feedback by November 22, 2024. Input gathered from the public will guide the final ADA Transition Plan, scheduled for completion in early 2025.
