Perfect for Springfielders who love dogs and spend time in the great outdoors, this calendar shows off 13 adorable, local pooches. It also reminds us to #scoopthepoop to prevent bacteria from polluting the waterways where we love to romp and play!

Visit the webpage and take the pledge to scoop the poop, and we’ll send you the official Canines for Clean Water bandana and a poo bag holder for your leash.

About the 2023 edition

We started making this edition of the calendar in the spring of 2022 with the announcement of a pup photo contest on the City of Springfield’s Facebook page and website. From the photo entries that we received, City staff voted for their favorites. Then we grabbed our camera, squeak toys, and doggie treats, and we met each pooch and their family for a photo shoot that had plenty of romping and playing.

We hope this calendar is as fun to read as it was to make! We’ll be back to do it again next year.
