After being closed to the community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are thrilled to announce that the Springfield History Museum will be reopening for limited hours beginning Saturday, July 10!

For the month of July, the Museum will be open Saturday afternoons from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Researchers can enjoy access to our research library and files, and visitors of all ages can explore our three newly renovated exhibit areas:

  • “Growing up in Springfield”, a temporary display of artifacts and photographs related to childhood covering the late 1800s to the 1960s that will be on display until December 24.
  • “Springfield and the World: Tourism and Expositions, 1893-1959”, a collection of souvenirs collected by Springfielders on their travels that will be on display through July.
  • The newly renovated permanent gallery of Springfield history.

We are so excited to welcome our visitors back into the Museum, and as always, admission is free! For more information, visit us on Facebook and Instagram, or call 541.726.3677.
