Everyone is invited to join the Springfield Public Library on the Fountain Plaza for a very special, powerful performance by Takohachi at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, August 4. Takohachi is a Portland-based musical group dedicated to sharing Japanese music, including taiko, and providing educational experiences for kids and families. The event should run for between 30 and 50 minutes. The Springfield Public Library recommends bringing sunscreen and plenty of water, as the weather has been unpredictable and very hot this summer. Join Food for Lane County on the Fountain Plaza immediately following this event at 11:30 a.m., for free lunches for kids and teens aged 1 – 18.

The Library doors are open! Come check out books, DVDs, video games and more after the show. Library masking and Covid-19 guidelines match those of OSHA and the State of Oregon.

Questions? Call the Springfield Public Library at 541.726.3766 or email library@springfield-or.gov. This event is made possible by a grant from the Oregon Community Foundation.

All events are free and open to the community.
