Clean Water Starts at Home is our newest brochure

While many of us prepare for spring around the house, the City of Springfield’s Stormwater Team is happy to provide this new brochure that shares ways we can keep Springfield’s waterways healthy from our front yards. It includes the newest recommendations to make the biggest difference. View here, it at bit.ly/cleanwaterhome.

Springfield is founded on water – it’s even in our name (spring). We’re located between two rivers, and we get an average of 47-inches of rain per year. We depend on our waterways for health and fun, and our aquatic friends do too! The biggest threat to waterways, including the McKenzie and Willamette Rivers, is pollution from urban runoff.

Since many of us are spending more time at home, please join us in exploring home activities that help keep Springfield’s waterways beautiful and thriving. Thank you for all that you do to keep our urban runoff pollution-free!
