Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee
The purpose of the Springfield Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee is to advise the Planning Commission and City Staff on matters relating to pedestrian and bicycle planning. Committee members are selected based on an interest in promoting pedestrian and / or bicycle interests in Springfield. All meetings are open to the public. Contact Emma Newman, 541.726.4585
Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC)
This citizen committee provides recommendations to the City Council on the best use of the City's allotment of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). These funds support housing programs, social services, affordable rental and home ownership housing development, neighborhood revitalization activities, parks and street construction and downtown redevelopment. Development Advisory Committee (DAC)
The Development Advisory Committee (DAC) is made up of ten members from public and business interests wih the purpose of advising the City Council on the development process in Springfield. The commitee is made up of eight citizens, a Springfield City Councilor, and Springfield Planning Commissioner. Contact: Jim Donovan, 541.726.3660
This statutory commission reviews and makes recommendations to the Planning Commission, Hearings Officer or City Council concerning certain quasi-judicial decisions and legislative matters for properties within or potentially within the Historic Overlay District. This commission also oversees projects which foster and preserve the community's heritage. The Commission meets every other month. Contact: Molly Markarian, 541.726.4611
Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission
This commission oversees the provision of the sewer service in the metro area. The Commission meets the 2nd Friday of each month at 7:30 a.m. Contact: Matt Stouder, 541.736.1006.
This commission makes recommendations to the City Council and other public agencies on policy matters related to planning, zoning and development within the City. The Planning Commission also serves as the city's Committee for Citizen Involvement with responsibility for approving citizen participation programs and opportunities for participating in land use matters affecting the city.
