Springfield Public Library Presents: Springfilm

Join Springfield Public Library’s monthly Springfilm series as a live Zoom stream of the documentary, ‘Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind’ at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 19. A discussion of the film will follow the screening.

Told mostly in his own words, this HBO documentary follows the life and career of comedy legend Robin Williams. Williams began his career in stand-up in the 1970s before his break-out title role in ‘Mork and Mindy’ and went on to star in dozens of beloved movies before his tragic death in 2014. Featuring interviews with Williams and contemporaries including Steve Martin, Eric Idle and Whoopi Goldberg the film also features outtakes and clips from Williams’ stand-up routines. Directed by Marina Zenovich, the film was described by Variety as being “sharp-edged, humane, and deeply researched enough to take you closer to the manic engine of Williams’ brilliance and pain”.

‘Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind’ is available now on the Library’s streaming video service AVOD: https://avod.infobase.com/p_ViewVideo.aspx?xtid=166039&tScript=0 or join the ZOOM Live Stream at the link below.
