Pledge to Scoop the Poop

The 2019 Canines for Clean Water Calendars are ready!! Springfield residents can pick up a free copy of the calendar (while supplies last) at Springfield City Hall, Springfield Public Library, and at various organizations and veterinary clinics throughout Springfield. The theme of the 2019 calendar is "Rescue the River" and the calendar features adopted dogs.

Many people may not realize that pet waste left on the ground can get washed into storm drains, which lead directly to our local streams and rivers. Pet waste contains bacteria and parasitic organisms that, when washed into local waterways, can contaminate streams and rivers. Take the Canines for Clean Water pledge to keep our local waterways clean by always “scooping the poop." Questions? Email us at WaterResources@springfield-or.gov
